Spreading Holiday Cheer and Community Resources
In December 2024, thousands of North Texas families gathered at the Dallas Zoo for United Way’s ninth annual Jungle Bells, a festive holiday event featuring dazzling lights, live entertainment, and community engagement. Dallas County MRC outreach efforts were a huge success at the event, reaching over 1,200 members of the community.
MRC Volunteers Train for Winter Weather Response to Support Medically Vulnerable Residents
The Galveston County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) conducted a critical training and exercise session focused on winter weather preparedness in November 2024. The session specifically addressed power outages and their impact on medically vulnerable residents.
