The Department of State Health Services, Radiation Control Program, is providing you with an opportunity to comment on the following rule: 

Draft Rule of §289.228. Radiation Safety Requirements for Non-Healing Arts Radiation Generating Devices Industrial Radiation Machines.

The rule is published in the Texas Register and open for comment until Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Please email written comments to RadiationRules@dshs.texas.gov. Your comments should include how this revision will impact your business. Comments on the Draft Rule will be reviewed and addressed in the Proposed Rule.
