Health Care Providers and Community Organizations

Health care providers in Texas are critical to prevent cases of congenital syphilis (CS) by providing screening, diagnosis, and treatment for pregnant women and women of child-bearing age with syphilis. They are also critical in treating infants with confirmed or suspected congenital syphilis. Community Organizations that support women and infants are essential in connecting women with syphilis during pregnancy to resources to support them and help to ensure they get testing and treatment needed to prevent congenital syphilis.
