2024 Texas DSHS Respiratory Disease Conference

2024 Influenza and Respiratory Disease ConferenceThe Texas Department of State Health Services Emerging and Acute Infectious Disease Unit, Influenza Surveillance Team is excited to once again host the Influenza and Respiratory Disease Conference for our public health colleagues and partners (a free event).

The past year has seen a multitude of changes and continued interests in respiratory diseases surveillance. Most notably are changes to covid-19 disease reporting, the emergence of H5N1 in dairy cattle, and implementation of new prevention products for RSV. This, along with many other changes and advancements, have highlighted both the ever changing landscape as well as the need for continued effective multi-sectoral and multi-jurisdictional collaboration and partnership.

Our goal this year is to shine a light on those cooperative efforts and to provide the opportunity to strengthen ongoing connections and build new partnerships while also encouraging discussions and innovations to improve our respiratory surveillance in the State.

We hope you’ll join us in our efforts to continuously improve our approaches, ideas, and work in keeping Texans healthy and safe!
