Health statistics are numbers that sum up health-related information. Researchers and experts collect and use health statistics to learn about public health and health care. Here is a selection of different health information and statistical websites.

- MedlinePLUS (National Library of Medicine) MedlinePlus is an online health information resource for patients and their families and friends. It is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

- Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR - 'The Voice of the CDC') provides the best medical information of the day to a wide cross-section of users, including medical professionals and students, veterinarians and veterinary students, and consumers.
- MyHealthfinder (U.S. Department of Health and Humans Services) provides trusted information to help people stay healthy.
- National Information Center on Health Services Research & Health Care Technology (National Library of Medicine) ensures that the NLM products address the information needs of the health services research workforce.
- Rural Border Health provides information on counties with the most concentrated Hispanic population along the southwestern border of the United States in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
- 2020 Census (U.S. Census Bureau) Mandated by the U.S. Constitution Article I, Section 2, the U.S. census counts every resident in the United States every 10 years. Each home received an invitation to respond to a short questionnaire—online, by phone, or by mail. This marked the first time that everyone could respond to the census online.
- AHRQ Data (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality) is provided by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the lead Federal agency charged with improving the safety and quality of healthcare for all Americans.
- American Community Survey (U.S. Census Bureau) is the premier U.S. source for detailed population and housing information that helps local officials, community leaders, and businesses understand the changes taking place in their communities.
- Bureau of Labor Statistics (U.S. Department of Labor) measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making.
- Census State Data Centers (U.S. Census Bureau) is a partnership between the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the island areas and the Census Bureau was created to make data available locally to the public through a network of state agencies, universities, libraries, and regional and local governments.
- Data and Case Reporting (Texas Department of State Health Services) collect and connect data to see trends and use data, surveillance, and statistics to monitor public health.

- Global Health Observatory (World Health Organization) is WHO's gateway to health-related statistics for its 194 Member States. It provides access to over 1,000 indicators on priority health topics including mortality and burden of diseases, child nutrition, child health, maternal and reproductive health, immunization, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected diseases, water and sanitation, non-communicable diseases and risk factors, epidemic-prone diseases, health systems, environmental health, violence and injuries among others.
- Medicaid/Medicare Statistics (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) are provided by CMS, which is dedicated to advancing health equity, expanding coverage, and improving health outcomes.
- National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) collects, analyzes, and disseminates timely, relevant, and accurate health data and statistics. Its products and services inform the public and guide program and policy decisions to improve the nation’s health.
- NCIS Health E-Stats are internet-only releases on current and timely health topics that feature highlights from all NCHS data systems. This list of all Health E-Stats that have been released to date is presented in an interactive, searchable, and sortable data tables format.
- National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics serves as the statutory [42 U.S.C. 242k(k)] public advisory body to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for health data, statistics, privacy, and national health information policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The Committee advises the HHS Secretary, reports regularly to Congress on HIPAA implementation, and serves as a forum for interaction between HHS and interested private sector groups on a range of health data issues.
- National Healthcare Reports (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality) presents trends for measures related to access to care, affordable care, care coordination, effective treatment, healthy living, patient safety, and person-centered care. - State Health Facts Online (Kaiser Family Foundation) provides more than 800 up-to-date health indicators at the state level can be mapped, ranked, and downloaded.
- Texas Demographic Center produces and disseminates population estimates and projections for Texas, as well as other demographic information. Special emphasis is placed on data that may be useful to policy makers in dealing with issues regarding the demand for State services.
- Vital Statistics of the United States (CDC) present detailed vital statistics data, including natality, mortality, marriage and divorce.
- World Health Statistics (World Health Organization) annual compilation of the most recent available data on health and health-related indicators for its 194 Member States.
