LHE Texas Health Trace Integration Process


  1. Choose a System Integration Option
    • Option 1: LHE performs case investigation and contact tracing  
      • Option 1A: LHE uses own system and reports data to Texas Health Trace (THT)
        • LHE uses Texas Health Trace (THT) to access jurisdictional data
      • Option 1B: LHE uses and accesses jurisdictional data in Texas Health Trace (THT)
    • Option 2 : LHE performs case investigation only; DSHS performs contact tracing 
      • LHE uses and accesses jurisdictional data in Texas Health Trace (THT)
    • Option 3: DSHS performs case investigation and contact tracing on behalf of LHE
      • LHE uses Texas Health Trace (THT) to access jurisdictional data
  2. Submit completed Texas Health Trace LHE Contact Tracing Options Form to RLHO@dshs.texas.gov

  3. Submit LHE THT Organization Data Form (including organization name and EIN)

  4. Submit the names and emails of the individuals in your organization you expect to access Texas Health Trace using this form
       
  5. Ensure that all individuals in your organization who intend to access Texas Health Trace complete all Required User Trainings 
    • Public Health Entity’s HIPAA Training (Required for all integration options) 
    • Public Health Entity’s Cybersecurity Training (Required for all integration options) 
    • Public Health Entity’s Contact Tracing Training (Required for all integration options) 
    • Texas Health Trace System (Required for Options 1B and 2) 
    • Texas Health Trace Data Entry (Required for Options 1B and 2) 

  6. Ensure that trained staff utilize the HHS Enterprise Portal to register an account, request access to the Texas Health Trace System, and complete the acceptable use agreement (AUA)
  7. Continuously Access Resources, Utilize Support Systems, and Provide Feedback

    • System Support: Texas Health Trace Help Desk 
      • Available from 8AM to 8PM 
      • Create ticket by sending email to thtsupport@mtxb2b.com  
      • Include the following information: 
        1. First & Last Name 
        2. Job Role 
        3. Organization (DSHS, MTX, University, etc.) 
        4. Email Address 
        5. Phone Number 
        6. Question or Issue 
        7. Priority (Low, Medium, Urgent) 
    • Integration Process Support: Public health entities should also feel free to communicate with the DSHS Regional & Local Coordination Unit Team Lead (Glenna Laughlin, Glenna.Laughlin@dshs.texas.gov).
