Obstetric Hemorrhage Bundle

TexasAIM Obstetric Hemorrhage

DSHS partners with Texas birthing facilities to make health care safer for Texas mothers. TexasAIM is a statewide initiative among Texas birthing hospitals to reduce maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity and to provide safe care for every mother.

The Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Obstetric Hemorrhage Patient Safety Bundle provides guidance to hospitals to coordinate and standardize the care provided to women with obstetric hemorrhage during pregnancy and in the postpartum period by preparing teams to recognize and respond to hemorrhage at all stages of care. TexasAIM hospital teams are sustaining the efforts of the Obstetric Hemorrhage Plus Learning Collaborative that began in 2018 and concluded in 2020.
