Texas Immunization Coalitions
Texas Immunization Coalitions are strategic partnerships between local professional or community-based organizations for the purpose of raising vaccination coverage levels in the community they are serving. By working together, local coalitions can improve immunization rates beyond what each group can accomplish alone.
Resources Available for Coalitions
Immunization coalitions may seek supplemental financial support from DSHS when adequate funds are available. Additionally, DSHS can provide training, media, and resources to help with establishing new coalitions, or to help organizations promote vaccinations to stakeholders. Additionally, in partnership with the Immunization Partnership, the DSHS Immunization Unit developed a immunization coalition toolkit to help build capacity within coalitions.
