Texas Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Partnership

Texas Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Partnership

We're reducing the burden of heart disease and stroke in Texas. We align our activities with the Texas Heart Disease and Stroke Program and Texas Council on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke. We also collaborate with partners from across the state to advance the goals set forth in Public Health Strategies for Addressing Heart Disease and Stroke in Texas, 2019- 2023:

Support and Reinforce Healthy Behaviors

Establish and promote environments that support the reduction in the prevalence of overweight and obesity through healthy eating, physical activity, breastfeeding, controlled diabetes, and increasing tobacco-free lifestyles for all Texans.

Enhance Quality of Care and Community-Clinical Linkages

Promote partnerships between clinical and community groups to implement effective and evidence-based strategies to reduce the burden of heart disease and stroke.

Improve Systems of Care

Promote capacity and infrastructure changes within the health delivery system to effectively prevent, treat and manage heart disease and stroke for all Texans.
