Our Stand Against Heart Disease
Heart disease and stroke are the #1 and #3 killers of adult Texans1. Our job is to help Texas reduce death and disability caused by heart disease and stroke in Texas. To do that, we work with partners around the state to make sure heart disease and stroke remain a priority in health care, communities, and work sites.
What We Do
We create statewide activities and programs to address risk factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, low physical activity, poor nutrition, and tobacco use.
