Fascioliasis

Fascioliasis is an illness caused by Fasciola parasites. The parasites are flatworms referred to as liver flukes. The two most common Fasciola species that infect people are Fasciola hepatica, known as "the common liver fluke", and "the sheep liver fluke". Fasciola gigantica is less common but can also infect people.
